🍽️🍷FOOD REVIEW: Coombe Cellars, Devon 🍽️🍷
Category: GastroPub
TNWG Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
🍽️🍷This is a superb place to have lunch or dinner! I especially like it on a sunny day, where you can take in the outside on the water's edge with wonderful large windows which give you a full 180 view of the beautiful Devon countryside.
🍽️🍷The food doesn't let you down either, we have here the Salt and Pepper Squid with a wonderful mayo. For main, the King Prawn, Crab and Chorizo Linguine and then to finish the Home Baked Chocolate Brownie....oh my!
A Gastropub underrates this but it is tough to put Coombe Cellars in a 'category' because it really should have one of it's own. It is fun getting to the front door of this place, and will mean taking on a short passage of fun driving...but it's Devon after all and that's what we love about it.
The ambience is great, it is relaxed, yet inviting and the food is top draw!
🍷 TNWG WIne Rating: 4/5 (taking into account the type of establishment and comparisons in the same category)
The wine list isn't too shabby either, with a nod to English Sparkling being on the menu and a wine for every occasion. There are cocktails too for those who so wish and consideration for the drivers with the No Alc side too.
And if you don't fancy the drive....they even offer takeaway too!!!
A must for those in the area. Get over to @thecoombecellars !!
