Chateau d'Esclans is more popularly known by its third best rose wine, Whispering Angel, which can be found in many places and arguably deemed the best marketed wine in the world. However, Rock Angel is their second best wine and a step above Whispering Angel.
 
This is a great rose wine! More complex and structured than Whispering Angel, a premium product giving rose wine drinkers a fuller and richer profile. Aromas of delicate berries with mineral notes, as well as floral and subtle spice too. 
 
Partial oak usage makes this stand out as a class above many rose wines and for me, is the best value for money of a premium option.
 
TNWG Food Suggestions: Given the decadent wine choice, then it wouldn't be a shock to know, that this also goes very well with the likes of crab, lobster and scallops. Fish tacos though is something I will throw in as a great option alongside a burrata salad too!
