A really typical Pinot Noir from New Zealand. It’s light bodied and yet has depth of flavour to it which make it highly representative of the region. The pinot noir has delicate red fruits, think red plums, mid season strawberries and a little bit of earthiness which you get from the NZ Pinots. Smooth palette and rounded, silky tannins complementing a long, toasty finish with even some herbaceous notes, like dried thyme for me in the mix too.

Saint Clair Family estate was established in 1994. Owning 160 hectares across 10 different Marlborough locations. Making some of the very best Pinot Noirs in my view!

TNWG Food Pairings: Given its not a huge body on the wine, it works well with some roasted or poached salmon, I quite like it with tuna too and so if you have a nice tuna steak, give it a whirl as a combo too, you don’t just drink white with fish! Outside of that, a lighter style so teriyaki dishes always work well, alongside those more umami, mushroom type flavours. Try it with turkey – it works too! There will be a pinot noir undoubtedly on my table at Christmas, this is a good one to try beforehand.
